Electroacoustic adventures with the trumpet Allotrope is a solo project from multidisciplinary Melbourne composer and trumpeter Peter Knight. Peter began developing digital environments to extend his improvisatory practice during a 2007 composer’s residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada where the work was premiered.

He has since performed solo at venues including KuLe (Berlin) Queensland Conservatorium, La Mama Musica, and the Make It Up Club (Melbourne). Peter’s solo work continues, albeit tangentially, his preoccupation with space, understatement, and long form structure and draws inspiration from diverse sources..
